We're all a little weird, and life's a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.

Sometimes during the moments that I get with my couple they completely let go and just embrace their love for one another. I love when couples act like I'm not even present. When they just open up and enjoy being together, that is when the magic happens.
Adorable details, excellent planning and plenty of time were the recipe that made this wedding so beautiful and fun for me!
Kaitlin chose to show her and Ben's personalities through fun details spread out throughout the day. Custom monogrammed dress hangers, an adorable velvet Mrs box, lace garter set with "tag you're it" embroidered on it were just a few details to greet me upon my arrival. The day continued with the help of the incredible American Village staff and strategic planning expertise of the girls of M. Elizabeth. I was given a ton of time to explore the American Village grounds with Kaitlin and Ben in order to get all of the amazing portraits they were wanting, followed by plenty of fun moments with the bridal party groups (I'm talking 2 hours for portraits!). More beautiful details popped up for the ceremony as a stunning string quartet played and an amazing Dorothy McDaniel floral centerpiece set the backdrop for the couple to exchange vows. After the ceremony I was given MORE TIME with the couple to take sunset photos! Oh I couldn't contain the joy! After that it was on to the reception where, I'll let you guess, there were MORE amazing details! Custom cornhole, adorable pillows with southern sayings, pretty signage and the most adorable pie table set the stage for fun and dancing.
Now I am not typing all of this out to say that every wedding needs a ton of details, this wedding really had a normal amount of details. What was so wonderful was how well everything was spread out throughout the day. Ample time, the right amount of planning and coordinating, and carefully chosen details spread throughout the wedding day created such a beautifully well rounded and memorable experience!

This wedding day still makes my heart swell. Olivia & Mitchell's wedding day was full of beautiful details and even more importantly, beautiful people. To this day my favorite part of a wedding is that this day is one of very few days that loved ones from all aspects of two peoples life come together in celebration. The bride and groom are literally surrounded by people from childhood, adulthood, school, work, family, church, etc. all in celebration of them. What an amazing feeling to have all the people you love and your spouse loves in one place in fellowship together. It's amazing. I definitely felt that amazing love while at Olivia & Mitchell's wedding. The day wove together the amazing people of their lives along with beautiful traditions dear to their hearts and inspiring details that reflected Olivia's classic style.
This wedding guys.... Caroline's amazingly unique style and beautiful love of bold color transformed The Barn at Shady Lane into an unbelievable art installation for her amazing wedding reception! But I am getting ahead of myself here.
I knew Caroline & Troy's wedding was going to be something special when I first met Caroline, but the night I walked into their rehearsal dinner I was absolutely overwhelmed with how much love, cheer and spirit surrounded this couple. I mean there were speeches that had Caroline crying and belly laughing at the same time! Pure elation! The festivity continued into their wedding day. The girls met up at Fringe Salon to get ready while the guys enjoyed a chill morning before photos. Touchups and the dress reveal took place at The Barn at Shady Lane followed by the first look and photos. The bridal party was quite entertaining as they joked and laughed together during photos! I love how friends from all parts of a couple's life come together on a wedding day as if they have known each other forever! After the beautiful ceremony at Trinity the guests were greeted at the door of the barn with overwhelming beauty! Stunning orange and white blooms hung from the ceiling as if floating, drawing you into the gorgeous space. The vibrant colors and amazing music were just icing on the cake for this wonderful wedding celebration! Everything about this day screamed festivity and joyfulness for Caroline and Troy.
