Rosegolden + Bourgeon - Flower Workshop

In this first year of business I have made it my goal to break out of my introverted shell and meet and work with amazingly talented people. I am the first to tell you that I don't know everything about photography. In fact, I barely know anything really. I just know what I see and what I am inspired by (and a little bit of technical stuff of course.) So, along with meeting and working with awesome creative people, I want to learn from them. The creative world a constant conversation with new ideas and viewpoints being brought up continually. There is never a right or wrong way of doing or saying anything in the creative world, the important part is just being in the conversation. Staying relevant.  To stay relevant you must always be willing to learn something new.

Last week I had the amazing privilege of photographing a floral workshop hosted by Holly Carlisle of Rosegolden Flowers and Amy Febinger of Bourgeon. Women from all over the southeast traveled to spend the afternoon learning about floral arrangements from Holl and Amy. Most of these women are already florists or some sort of creative professional. They chose to challenge themsleves and be inspired by something new. This was so encouraging, the combination of so much talent and stunning flowers resulted in so many beautiful arrangements! All the women went home with new inspiration, knowledge and stunning arrangements of their own.
